PM Manmohan appeals for a peaceful Budget session
New Delhi, Feb 22: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday, Feb 22, asserted that the Government is ready to discuss all the issues on the floor of the House.
Speaking to reporters, Singh said, "The Government is willing to discuss all issues. I will appeal to the Opposition not to have any disruption of parliamentary proceedings."
Parliament is a forum for debate and government is ready to debate," Singh said.
"We seek the cooperation of the Opposition in the smooth running of this important session of Parliament, which will be devoted to the passage of both the General Budget and the Railway Budget," he added.
