Malik welcomes India's 'positive attitude' towards Pakistan
Islamabad, Feb.22 (ANI): Welcoming Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's recent statement that the India is ready to discuss all issues with Islamabad, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that India's 'positive' attitude towards his country is a good sign for the region.
Malik said Pakistan wants stability in South Asia, and the resumption of bilateral talks between India and Pakistan would ultimately help both countries.
He said Islamabad is committed to root out militancy from the country at all costs.
The Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan are scheduled to meet on February 25 in New Delhi.
The upcoming meeting would end the 14 month long hiatus between both the neighbouring nations.
India had scrapped all bilateral dialogue with Pakistan following the November 2008 terror strikes in Mumbai, in which 166 people, including several foreigners, were killed and over 300 injured. (ANI)
