Nearly 50 percent Pakistanis blame poor cricket for defeats in Australia

By Super Admin

Lahore, Feb 19 (ANI): Nearly 50 percent Pakistanis believe that national cricket team's disastrous tour of Australia is the result of overall poor performance in batting and fielding.

Forty four percent (44 percent) of Pakistanis blamed poor performances by players for dismal results in Australia.

The remaining people cited other reasons for the team's defeats. Fifteen percent believed it was the inefficiency of the Pakistan Cricket Board, eight percent blamed the mediocre captain and 13 percent thought the team was just unlucky.

The rest, 20 percent, were unsure, according to figures released by the Gallup Pakistan on Thursday, the Daily Times reports.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were presented with this question: 'Recently in Australia, Pakistan's loss in the Test and one day series'. In your view what was the main reason for the defeat?'

The findings of the survey revealed no significant difference in opinion of people across various demographics. (ANI)
