New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recovered duplicate American cheques having a face value of Rs 1.25 crore here and arrested one person in the connection.
A team of CBI sleuths conducted searches at the home of Hemant Reddy in Dwarka where fake cheques were seized.
"The gang involves members in US and an Indian national based in New Delhi, who developed his computerised printing unit for printing such counterfeit cheques by using the base papers coming from abroad and printing text received through e-mail from (his) their accomplices abroad," said Harsh Behal, spokesman of CBI.
" The team also recovered sheets of cheques having a face value worth 21 million dollars which were yet to be printed," Behal added. (ANI)
