Gala 20th birthday bash for Adobe Photshop
Bangalore, Feb 18: Adobe Photoshop, which has grown to become synonymous with photo manipulation and graphic design, will turn twenty on Friday, Feb 19 and fans across the world have already put on the party hats.

The National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) has planned a big B-day bash for Photoshop. NAPP's special Photoshop 20th Anniversary celebration is scheduled to be held on Thursday, Feb 18, in San Francisco at the Palace of the Fine Arts Theatre.

The celebrations which will be graced by the brains behind the revolutionary software such as Adobe"s senior vice president of Creative Solutions, John Loiacono, a vice president of Photoshop Product Management, Kevin Connor, Photoshop co-creator Thomas Knoll and famed Adobe creative director and Photoshop evangelist, Russell Brown. The fans can catch it on the live webcast.

Celebrations are set to start even in Japan, Southeast Asia and throughout Europe even as Adobe Germany is readying itself to host a 20-hour online marathon, featuring over 15 local Photoshop 'gurus' demonstrating their favourite tips and tricks live for Photoshop fans.

India and France are holding digital imaging contests to showcase the work of Photoshop users.

Adobe TV will be broadcasting the reunion of the original Photoshop team. Social networking site Facebook and microblogging site Twitter will also be part of the celebrations.

Interestingly, the big birthday falls at the time when the world as a whole as acknowledged the wonder of the visual effects created in Photoshop with the record breaking response to the new movie Avatar.

All in all, the big B-day bash for creative-world's most celebrated digital product culminates years of application in a wide spectrum of spheres for various reasons- be it the designing, architecture, engineering to the use in forensic labs to help in investigations, Photoshop has done it all.
