1984 riots: HC issues warrant against Sajjan Kumar
New Delhi, Feb 17: The Delhi High court on Wednesday, Feb 17, deferred the hearing of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar's plea till Feb 18.
The court also issued a non-bailable warrant against Kumar for not appearing before the court in anti-Sikh riots cases.
Justice S L Bhayana said that the present plea will be heard on Thursday, Feb 18, by the regular bench.
Kumar had earlier approached the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on his arrest in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots cases.
The CBI had filed a chargesheet against Sajjan Kumar and others in two cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in the national capital.
Sajjan Kumar is among those accused of instigating mobs that killed over 3,000 Sikhs across Delhi.
