Bihar to get special corruption courts
Patna, Feb 10: The state of Bihar, which is known to be reeling under heavy corruption, is getting a judicial force to do away with the evil as the state government readies itself to set up special courts to hear corruption cases against public servants in Bihar.
“The State cabinet approved rules for constitution of the special courts for corruption cases under the provisions of the Bihar Special Courts Act on Tuesday (Feb 9)," official sources informed.
The act will enable authorities to seize the disproportionate assets of public servants, found guilty of amassing wealth illegally.
The act defines public servants as those who draw salary from the state exchequer, including politicians and bureaucrats.
