New Delhi, Feb 5: Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan getting cosy with Bhratiya Janata Party governments in various states has left Congress fuming.
On Thursday, Feb 4, Congress came down heavily upon the actor for becoming the brand ambassador of Gujarat by accusing Big B of misusing his celebrity status for money.
Congress general secretary BK Hariprasad recalled how Bachchan's endorsement turned into an 'electoran disaster'for the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
Hariprasad, who is incharge of party affairs for Gujarat, said that it now the time for Modi to suffer the same fate.
He also mentioned about the Bollywood star praising Karnataka's BS Yeddyurappa government for giving tax exemption to one of his films.
Bachchan, who watched his new movie 'Paa' with the Chief Ministers of both the states, was declared the brand ambassador of Gujarat recently.
Besides this, Bachchan hit the headlines on Wednesday, Feb 3 for praising Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray in his blog post. Shiv Sena is an ally of BJP in Maharashtra. However, the relationship between the two parties has strained over the north Indian migrats and Mumbai issue.
