Lahore, Feb.3 (ANI): A new controversy seems to be brewing up in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), as the board has sent a letter to its Director General Javed Miandad redefining his role in the set-up.
According to insiders, the letter was sent soon questions were raised over Miandad's hefty salary package by the PCB chairman Ijaz Butt himself.
The letter, which is said to have been sent on January 26, reportedly informed Miandad about his responsibilities and his additional duties.
According to the letter, Miandad would have to report to the chairman PCB through the office of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Wasim Bari.
Miandad has also been made the in-charge of development of cricket in Pakistan and Women Cricket as per instructions of the chairman PCB.
"You will not take up any media assignment while in service with the PCB nor will you issue any statements in the media without seeking prior permission of the chairman. The code of conduct policy of the PCB should be adhered to," the letter stated.
Miandad has also been asked to guide young budding cricketers at the cricket academies. (ANI)
