London, Feb 2 (ANI): A British woman is said to have been left stunned when she found all six eggs in a box had double yolks.
Fiona Exon, of Penrith, Cumbria, had bought the eggs from Morrisons supermarket and when she cracked them to make scrambled eggs for breakfast, she was astounded to find the first was a double-yolker.
"I had only seen one double-yolk egg before and that was when I was young," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
"Cracking the second I gasped when it too was a double. When the third was the same I called my partner Hector and when the fourth was a double, then the fifth, we began to feel a little spooked. By the sixth double we were gobsmacked," she added.
The British Egg Information Service said the chances of one egg alone having a double yolk were 0.1 per cent.
"The only time we would take a bet for one-trillion-to-one is for the end of the world and if that did happen obviously no one would be able to collect it," bookmakers William Hill stated. (ANI)
