Mumbai, Feb 2: Extending support to the expelled Samajwadi Party member Amar Singh, party MP Jaya Bachchan has dared SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to expel her if she has done anything wrong.
"If Mulayam Singhji feels that I have made a mistake than he can also suspend me," Bachchan said, adding that she said never done anything against the party.
Calling the expulsion of Amar Singh as unfortunate, Bachchan said that she was with Amar Singh as it was expected of her.
She said that the party was completely wrong in its decision to expel Singh who had served the party for 14 years.
Expressing remorse at the break-up between Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh, Bachchan said in a media report that she was saddened to see that some people had actually succeeded in inciting the SP chief to take the painful decision.
Following Amar Singh's expulsion, along with Jaya Prada, Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari too has resigned in Singh's support.
Singh's expulsion could mark the beginning of the SP's downfall, in the wake of the series of resignations following the move.
