New Delhi, Feb 1 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will on Monday inaugurate a conference of State Chief Secretaries.
The two-day conference is being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. This conference will be the first such conference and will be held annually.
The main aim of the conference is to make the process of interaction between the Centre and the states easier. The conference is expected to serve as a standing forum for exchange of views between the Centre and the states, thereby providing an occasion for interaction on internal matters.
There are reports that issues related to latest trend in concerns, and the role of the respective state governments would be discussed at the conference. It is expected that global developments that have an impact on the country's progress would also be taken up for discussion. (ANI)
