Doha, Jan 30: Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden has released yet another video message. This time he is not threatening to launch a terror attack but has raised concern over climate change.
The architect of the 9/11 attacks is now using climate change and global warming to launch a war against United States.
Blaming America and other western countries for environmental crises across the world including desertification, floods, and hunger in the Third World, bin Laden said, “Discussing climate change is not an intellectual luxury but a necessity."
In a bid to halt 'the wheels of the American economy', Osama called for boycott of the dollar and US products.
This will also cripple US military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, he said, adding that this was also “the only means to liberate humanity from slavery and dependence on America".
Osama's taped message, aired by Al Jazeera, comes amid the doubts over the 'man-made' climate change theories, while a large section of the global community raises a cry over the authenticity of the threat and calls for immediate action.
