Colombo, Jan 29: Defeated Presidential candidate, former army general Sarath Fonseka has been alleged of planning to eliminate president Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family.
The startling revelation was made by the Sri Lanka defence ministry officials at a press conference in which they said they have evidence to prove the allegation against the Fonseka.
According to Director of Media Centre for National Security Lakshman Hullugale, the massacre was planned along Galle Road in Colombo or at the Lake House Junction in the commerce hub of Fort.
After a defeat in the presidential election, which restored Rajapaksa to the presidential seat, the retired army general had vowed to challenge the results.
