Pune: 'Ragged' law student commits suicide
Pune, Jan 27: A student of Fergusson Law College committed suicide after allegedly being ragged by his seniors.
According to police, Prashant Chitalkar, a second-year student of the college, committed suicide by jumping into a well at his uncle's residence in Ahmednagar.
Additional Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kadasane said that they are investigating if ragging was a reason behind him committing suicide.
"It is learnt that he had come to his uncle's place as he was fed up with ragging in his college," he said
Kadasane added a case would be registered only after the inquiry.
