AP: ESL Narasimhan sworn-in as full-time governor
Hyderabad, Jan 22: E Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan, who was sworn in as the in-charge governor of the state in Dec 2009, was on Friday, Jan 22 sworn-in as the full-time governor of Andhra Pradesh.
At a brief function in the Raj Bhavan, the former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre was administered oath of office by AP high court chief justice A Ramesh Dave.
After this, the chief secretary read out the warrant of appointment of Narasimhan in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah and his Cabinet colleagues.
On Dec 28, ESL Narasimhan was sworn in as the in-charge governor of AP after the former governor ND Tiwari resigned on health ground.
ND Tiwari's resignation came in the wake of the sex scandal over a video apparently showing the governor in compromising position with three young girls.
