SP chief accepts Amar Singh's resignation
New Delhi, Jan 18: Seeing his attempt to resolve conflicts turning futile, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav accepted Amar Singh resignation on Sunday, Jan 17.
According to SP sources, Yadav was left with no choice but to accept Singh's resignation from all party post as the latter seemed adamant on his stance.
On Jan 6, Amar Singh created quite a stir when he decided to resign from the SP general secretary, national spokesperson and member of Parliamentary Board on health grounds.
However, Singh differences between SP chief and his cousin, Ram Gopal Yadav was speculated as the real reason behind the resignation.
Things turned ugly when the both Singh and Ram Gopal began to exchange bitter words.
SP chief stepped in to bring about a reconciliation and to make the Amar Singh take back his resignation.
Following Singh's resignation, Jaya Prada, Jaya Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt too threatened to quit the party.
