KCR's daughter booked for threatening Jr NTR film
Hyderabad, Jan 16: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Reddy's daughter Kavita has landed in trouble for threatening to disrupt the screening of the Junior NTR-starrer 'Adhurs".
Banjara Hills police suo moto booked a case against Kavitha under charges of issuing a provocative statement to the people to obstruct the film.
"Taking a suo motu notice of the threat issued by Kavita, we have registered a case against her on January 12," West Zone DCP, C Ravi Varma, is quoted as saying in a news agency report.
Further action will be taken after the completion of the ongoing investigation.
On Tuesday, Jan 12, Kavitha called on people to obstruct the film screening and appealed to the them to refrain from watching the movie as the money earned from it would be used to suppress separate Telangana movement.
This is not the first time Kavitha is the limelight for the wrong reasons.
In 2009, the daughter of KCR was arrested by Nampalli police for staging a dharna at film fare awards at Telugu Laitha Kala Thoranam.
Kavitha along with her party 'Telangana Jagruthi' activists staged a dharna in protest of awarding popular TV anchor Jhansi, as the anchor had allegedly made fun of Telangana accent.
