Kate Middleton sues paparazzi for invasion of privacy
London, Jan 14 (ANI): Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has engaged the Queen's solicitors to take legal action against the paparazzi who snapped her playing tennis on Christmas Day.
Middleton, 28, is seeking damages under the Protection from Harassment Act, as she says, the pictures, which were published in a German magazine and on the Internet, invaded her privacy.
"The point is it occurred on Christmas Day, a day that most people regard as private," the Daily Express quoted a spokesman for Prince William, who supports her action, as saying.
Middleton, who had been photographed while spending the day with family at Restormel Manor in Cornwall, is suing the photographers and Rex Features agency.
A guilty verdict could mean damages, a restraining order or up to six months jail. (ANI)
