Usain Bolt set to skip Commonwealth Games

New Delhi, Jan 11: Usain Bolt, the world's fastest man has finally decided to give the Commonwealth games a miss, as competing in the Delhi Games do not figure in his priority list.

"It's now looking unlikely Usain will be going to the Commonwealth Games. His priorities have to lie elsewhere," Ricky Simms, Bolt's manager said.

Simms added that the CWG will interfere with his preparation for the 2011 world Athletics.

"The timing of the Commonwealth Games is the issue here. By the start of October, Usain will need to have rest and then began his pre-season which, as every athlete knows, is massively important," he said.

The report will come as a major setback for the organizing committee who had earlier requested Bolt to participate in the Delhi Games.
