Srinagar businessmen demand removal of CRPF camp
Srinagar, Jan 9: Four days after the attack launched by militants in the Lal Chowk area in Srinagar, the normal life in region continues to be paralysed.
An agitation has been launched by businessman demanding the removing of the CRPF camp in the area, citing that there was increased violence here after the installation of the camp.
Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) also joined the agitation, which entered the fourth day on Saturday, Jan 9.
"We are supporting the demand of businessmen of Lal Chowk," KTMF President Mohammad Yousuf Khan said.
On Wednesday, Jan 6, four terrorists started what was going to be a 22-hour long attack by hurling grenades at a CRPF camp in Lal Chowk.
Two of them carried forward the attack by taking the Hotel Punjab located nearby under siege.
