India: Swine Flu death toll crosses 1000 mark
New Delhi, Jan 6: The number of Swine Flu deaths in India has crossed the thousand mark on Tuesday, Jan 5, with the death of 2 more people due to H1N1 virus.
The Swine Flu death toll in the country mounted to 1001.
The fresh deaths were reported one each from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Maharashtra now accounts for 278 Swine Flu deaths, highest in the country.
According to Health Ministry sources, 62 fresh cases of the dreaded disease have been reported.
Delhi reported the maximum of 14 cases closely followed by Maharashtra (26) and Rajasthan (11).
