London, Jan. 4 (ANI): Manchester City is expecting seven million pounds from Chelsea for striker Daniel Sturridge, while the Blues are willing to pay only three million pounds.
Since the two clubs failed to agree a fee for the young forward who came through the ranks at Eastlands, a date has been set for January 14.
According to The Sun, Chelsea is believed to be willing to pay around three million pounds for Sturridge, who is set to get his chance now Didier Drogba has gone to the African Nations Cup with Ivory Coast.
Sturridge, 20, scored his first goals for the Blues in the 5-0 FA Cup win over Watford yesterday.
And City hopes that his promotion to the first team will help them get a favourable compensation amount. (ANI)
