Girl beheaded at east Delhi residence
New Delhi, Jan 2: In a bone chilling incident of crime, a girl was found beheaded at her east Delhi residence on Friday, Jan 1.
The Madhu Vihar police station is dealing with the case.
According to police, the victim identified as Avantika Singh was beheaded with a sharp-edged weapon.
The unidentified people managed to commit the crime and walk away from the house after locking the main door from outside, police added.
According to media reports, Avantika, who was a resident of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, had been living in the rented house with her elder sister Preeti for the last one and a half months.
While Avantika works with a business establishment at a shopping mall in Shahdara, Preeti is employed as a supervisor in a factory in Noida.
Avantika was alone at home when she was murdered.
A family friend, Buddha Prakash was reportedly the one who informed the police about Avantika's death.
