UK police says will crack down on hooligans during Sunday's FA Cup clash

By Super Admin

London, Jan. 1 (ANI): British police have warned both Manchester United and Leeds fans of a clamp down on offensive chanting during Sunday's FA Cup clash.

According to The Sun, Leeds are set to take 9,000 fans to Old Trafford for the third-round tie between the bitter rivals, who have not met for five years.

Greater Manchester Police Superintendent John Graves said: "There's a lot of pride and passion and both clubs have suffered loss and tragedy. It would be wrong for a small minority of idiots to use those as an opportunity to incite violence and disorder.

"We're not going to allow a small minority of idiots to spoil it for the vast majority. We have activity underway on our gateways, the borders into the county and motorway networks, to stop fans who may be coming to cause trouble." (ANI)
