Police hunt for husband of Indian woman found murdered in Sydney home

Westmead (Australia), Dec 30 (ANI): A 29-year-old Indian woman was found dead this morning in a Sydney suburban home.

The body was found with a knife wound to her throat.

Police are now hunting for her 23-year-old husband, Chamonjot Singh.

Singh was seen leaving the house just before the police arrived on the crime scene.

Police believe Chamonjot and his dead wife were recent arrivals in Australia.

Westmead Assistant Police Commissioner Denis Clifford said : "We assume he's been in the country about six or seven months."

The couple had no children and police are unsure if they have any friends or family here. Police have yet to confirm how the woman died, but did say there was a knife wound to the throat.

They also warned the public not to approach Singh, as he could be dangerous. (ANI)
