Hyderabad, Dec 30: The bandh called by all-party Joint Action Committee in support of separate Telangana has paralyzed normal life in the state on Wednesday, Dec 30.
The affect of the bandh was felt by commuters a day before the bandh as Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and railways halt their services on Tuesday, dec 29 evening.
9000 buses running in Telangana including those going towards Vijaywada were taken off the road by APSRTC.
In Hyderabad, thousands of city bases and 165 trains including 32 MMTS (Hyderabad Metro Trains) and short service passenger trains were canceled.
Security has beefed up in the region in the wake of the bandh.
Prohibitory orders under section 144 have been imposed in Hyderabad and other places.
The Center had earlier deployed 30 companies of central para-military forces.
JAC would reportedly meet in the evening to discuss the next plan of action regarding the Telangana issue.
