Dehra Dun, Dec 29: Former Andhra Pradesh governor ND Tiwari, who resigned on Saturday, Dec 26 in the wake of a sex scandal, has alleged that the scandal was a conspiracy plotted against him by pro-Telangana activists.
While returning to his home state Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, Dec 28, Tiwari rubbished the reports against him as 'fabricated and false' and said he will continue to be in public life.
Even though he refused to name anyone in particular, the 86-year-old leader said that some pro-Telangana people who were stopped by him from meeting President Prathibha Patil, when she was in Hyderabad, were behind the conspiracy.
However, the Congress leader said he is not going to hold a grudge against anyone and that he would continue to serve the country.
"I am not going to retire from politics," he said.
The sex scandal in the Raj Bhavan surfaced when a local TV channel aired an explicit video of the governor in compromising position with three young girls.
