London, Dec 25(ANI): Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies is confident that his side does have the strength and depth to sustain a push for a Premier League top-four spot this season.
Davies' comments come as Villa has won four consecutive matches to move up to fourth position.
"I was looking at the fixture list and there is one spell where Villa have got something like seven games in 24 days and, if we draw with Blackburn in the FA Cup, it would be eight in 24 days," The Express quoted Davies, as saying.
"It is a tough schedule and the games are coming thick and fast. Last season we used the least number of players of any team in the Premier League, but this time we have a stronger back-up," he added.
Last season, the club was a strong contender for a top-four finish, before losing momentum to finish sixth.
Villa will now be looking forward to carry on their winning streak in their next game, against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday. (ANI)
