Melbourne, December 24 (ANI): Think Santa Claus doesn't exist? Well, some people in Portland, Maine may disagree with you, as a few lucky ones in the town have got a 100-dollar US bill from an anonymous man dressed as Father Christmas.
According to My Fox National, the man, who has only identified himself as a local businessman, handed out 11,300 dollars to shoppers outside the Goodwill store in the town.
Forty-six-years-old Aurea Parker is one of the luck recipients of the gift.
Parker, who met with a car crash 11 years ago, said that she would add the sum to her disability check and buy a Christmas present for her son in Utah.
"I've been sitting around and crying a lot. But this was awesome. I didn't think Santa existed anymore," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling Portland Press Herald.
The Santy revealed that he was inspired to continue the tradition started by Kansas City's secret Santa, Larry Stewart.
Stewart had distributed 1.47 million dollars over two decades, until he died in 2007. (ANI)
