Cleaning vehicle almost runs over Prince William
London, Dec 24: Prince William, who was sleeping out on the street to get a taste of what it is like to be homeless and poor, got more than what he had signed up for when a road sweeper vehicle almost run him over.
The 27-year-old Brit prince was reportedly curled up inside a sleeping bad on the cardboard boxes next to plastic rubbish bins in a central London alleyway, when local council cleaning vehicle gave him the fright of his life.
The shaken prince, who is second in line for the British throne, said "I cannot, after one night, even begin to imagine what it must be like to sleep rough on London's streets night after night."
"Poverty, mental illness, drug and alcohol dependency and family breakdown cause people to become and then stay homeless," he added.
