J'khnd: Cong alliance should be given a chance
Ranchi, Dec 24: Hours after the fractured verdict, Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay has said that Congress-JVM(P) combination should be given a chance to be in power in Jharkhand to provide stability and strength to the administration.
"However, we expect JMM president Shibu Soren to be with the secular combination and we will take care of his contribution," quoted Sahay in a news agency report.
Stating that Soren had been given the chance to form government twice, he said that this time Congress-JVM(P) combination should be allowed to form the next government.
Soren was supported by the Congress after a fractured verdict in 2005. However, he had to step down 9 nine days later.
The party extended an outside support to Soren from from August 27, 2008 to January 12, 2009 when he had to give up his chief ministership owing to his defeat in by-poll.
