Eurostar services back on track
Paris, Dec 22: After three-day suspension, Eurostar, the high-speed rail service linking Britain, France and Belgium resumed on Tuesday, Dec 22.

The recommencement of services started off with the first train pulling out of the Gare du Nord station in Paris after 8 am on Tuesday, Dec 22 morning, carrying 750 passengers.

Over the past three days, the suspension of services have affected an estimated 40,000 people, apart from leaving French President Nicolas Sarkozy indignant.

Officials at the Eurostar believe that the dry, powdery snow that got into the engines caused trains to break down.
