Indian coast guard rescues 15 crewmembers from a sinking ship
Jakhau Coast (Gujarat), Dec 18 (ANI): Responding to a distress call, the alert personnel of Indian Coast Guard rescued fifteen crew members of a sinking cargo ship on the high seas off Jakhau coast here on Thursday.
According to official sources, the ship named M.V Dhananjay was sailing from Porbandar in Gujarat to Sharjha when the mishap took place.
Reportedly, the ship sank due to some technical hitch.
Indian Coast Guard personnel escorted the rescued crew members to Porbandar port. (ANI)
