London, Dec. 14 (ANI): Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger gave a standing ovation to the Gunners for their spectacular display during the second half against Reds.
The first-half Gunners display at Liverpool on Sunday incensed their boss so much he tore into them at the break, raging that they were not fit to wear the famous old shirt.
His players responded to such effect that the Reds did not even manage a shot from then on, while two second-half goals saw Arsenal nick a 2-1 win.
The Sun quoted Wideman Theo Walcott, as saying: "None of us was happy with the first half and the boss just showed his passion.
"It woke us up and that's what you have got to do as a manager."
"So coming in at the end and getting a round of applause from the boss showed we listened to him," he added.
"All the players were bubbling, as you would expect. It was great to see, a fantastic result - especially away," he added. (ANI)
