New York, December 14 (ANI): The Florida Department of Children and Families reportedly paid a visit to Tiger Woods' mansion.

The golf great has been controversy laden since his mysterious car crash outside his home on Thanksgiving.

The world no.1, who has two kids, 2-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie, with wife of five years Elin Nordegren, has taken an indefinite break from professional golf after admitting infidelity.

According to gossip web site radaronline.com, the agency visited the star's house and stayed for "roughly an hour", accompanied by a marked police car, reports the New York Daily News.

Carrie Hoeppner, an agency spokeswoman, remained tight lipped about the reported visit, saying:

"Child abuse, adult investigations, in the state of Florida are confidential. I'm just not able by law to give confirmation about whether we visited the family and that is in the interest of protecting the child."

But Orange County Sherrif's Department acknowledged a partnership.

Capt. Angelo Nieves said: "Our deputies met with members of the Department of Children and Families. But all details are being kept secret." (ANI)
