Taliban warns S Korea over troops to Afghan
Kabul, Dec 10: The Taliban has warned South Korea that its decision to send troops to Afghanistan would lead to "bad consequences."
"South Korea's leaders should be prepared for the consequence of their action, which they will certainly face," a statement e-mailed to media outlets on late Wednesday, Dec 9.
The Taliban statement said South Korea had committed to permanently withdraw forces in exchange for the hostages' freedom.
"If they send their forces to Afghanistan and break their promise, then they should also be prepared for bad consequences," the statement said, adding that the Taliban "will never resort to a soft approach anymore."
