Taliban will take on Pak Army soon: Mehsud
Islamabad, Dec 9: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud has cliamed that the Taliban would take on the Pakistan Army during the winter season.
Mehsud said they have "conserved" their energy to take on the army when it snows.
"We will wait till Jan 2010 for our offensive since we are stronger during the snowing season," Hakimullah said.
Hakimullah also said that he remained confident despite the large-scale military operation targeting him and his fighters in South Waziristan Agency bordering Afghanistan.
"We have conserved our energy and have not lost our morale," he was quoted by media as saying over phone.
He said the local Taliban leadership is safe but did not reveal where they are taking refuge.
