Brit Queen warns paparazzis of legal action
London, Dec 7: Irked by media's obsession with the royal family, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has threatened to take legal actions against paparazzi photographers.
In letter addressed to newspaper and magazine editors, the Queen has warned media against intruding into the privacy of the royal family.
"Members of the Royal family feel they have a right to privacy when they are going about everyday, private activities", said Paddy Harverson, the Prince Charles's communications secretary.
Speaking on the Queen's letter, he said that while the royal family understands public interest in them, but intrusion into their private lives to appease public interest was unwelcome.
"Many years of being intruded upon have taken their toll. The Royal family feels they are entitled to a private life, particularly at Christmas," said a senior Buckingham Palace aide.
