Injured football stars to dump horse placenta for beer cure

By Super Admin

London, Dec. 6 (ANI): Football stars are set to dump horse placenta for beer lager baths to cure their injuries.

Scores of South American stars already swear by the treatment in which beer is mixed with a plant once used against witches, the Daily Star reports.

They have alerted pals in the Premier League to healer Manuela Jara, who reckons her beer baths can nail any woes.

Last night a Premier League source said: "She has a lot of South Americans who regularly fly over to Paraguay from Europe to get in her healing bath.

"God knows what this stuff really does, but, if they believe it helps, then let them do it!"

he plant used in the treatment, called rue, was an ingredient of spells in the Middle Ages and considered a defence against witches. It is also said to improve the sight and was often recommended for joint pains.

Manuela, 61, hit the headlines in her own country by falling out with one of her big-name customers - Sunderland-bound Paraguayan Cristian Riveros - over an alleged unpaid bill.

Manuela says their relationship soured when he sent her 90 pounds in Paraguayan currency instead of the 16,000 pounds she wanted. (ANI)
