London, Dec.5 (ANI): Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is convinced that as skipper Steven Gerrard reaches the magical figure of 500 games for the club today, he is capable of playing at least 300 more.
Gerrard is still a long way short of Ian Callaghan's club best of 857 games, but Benitez is certain Gerrard, 29, will at least run him close.
The Sun quoted the Kop boss, as saying: "He could play another two or three hundred games. Normally, you have around 60 games every season, so he can play 30 or 40 in everyone."
"His physical condition is not a problem. He has energy, power and can still play a lot of matches. A leader has to lead by example and Gerrard is a very good professional," he added. (ANI)
