Ludhiana unrest: Protestor falls to police bullet
Ludhiana, Dec 5: Just minutes after curfew was lifted in three police station areas of Ludhiana, a clash has been reported between the police and Sikh protesters resulted in one being killed when the police fired in the air to disperse the crowd.

religious
sects
when
Dera
supporters
marched
towards
the
venue
where
the
Maharaja
of
the
Dera
noormahal
was
holding
a
gathering.
Sikh supporters had warned in advanced against the holding of the meeting.
In an attempt to disperse the crowd police resorted to tear gas shell and fired in the air which incidentally hit one of the protesters.
Hours before violence erupted again in Ludhiana, curfew was lifted from three police station areas of Division No 7, Sahnewal and Shimlapuri which was imposed after the protest by migrant labourers turned violent on Dec 4.
Labourers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh had blocked the Delhi-Ludhiana-Jalandhar National highway and burnt vehicles in protest against the alleged snatching of money from them every month.
