Melbourne, Nov 26 (ANI): While the search for the lovebirds who romped on the balcony of Sydney's clock tower is still on, several men are coming forward to claim that they were involved.

The pictures taken of the young lover's romp on top of the famous Broadway building, in Glebe, has gained worldwide interest and gossip rife as to their identity.

So much so that people are prepared to claim they are one of the lovers or know them.

One man claimed that he is the clock tower lover, and that he is a university student, and that he had met a young woman at a clothing store in Broadway shopping centre on the day.

They walked over the road to the Unilodge building to join a party and one thing led to another.

But he has stopped short of providing the photographic proof required to confirm his story, saying he is now interstate but he did provide names.

Another reader sent in an email to say: "I know this guy, his name is ***** ***** and he is a terrible exhibitionist," the Daily Telegraph quoted the email as stating.

"He has been in Sex Addicts Anonymous for three years as he has been arrested all over Sydney while caught in the act.

"He does not want to be contacted in relation to this afternoon activity as he regrets doing it and does not want to be shamed or bring his family into the public view.

"***** has a bright future ahead of him working once he has finished his studies at University, if he can keep the studies to the classroom ... or bedroom," the person wrote.

Another reader from the United States claimed to recognize the couple.

According to police, the infamous Broadway clock tower rendezvous love affair may be an act of indecency but it appears Sydney's men are filled with admiration.

The public sex act raised far more amusement than condemnation, and police say not a single witness to the naked clock tower clinch has lodged a complaint, meaning police were not currently investigating it.

"Obviously it is something we would look into as an act of indecency," the police said.

"We often get cases like it in Hyde Park or Belmore Park. If we're told about it we'll grab them," they added. (ANI)
