Beijing, Nov 26: Obama's China visit may or may not bring changes in bilateral relationships between the two countries, but it sure has changed the life of a Chinese college student.
Weeks after being photograph in a black dress, sitting behind Obama in the townhall forum in Shanghai, Wang Zifei is trying to come to terms with the nation going crazy over her beauty and poise.
Not only are the photos of her taking off her coat in slow being widely circulated, it has been reported in the China official newspaper that the turnout for 'Obama girl in red coat' in Google searches is nearly seven million.
But far from being flattered, Wang Zifei is aghast to have this unwanted attention, calling it to be totally disturbing and asked netizens in a piece titled "What has President Obama brought to me? to stop digging in to her personal life.
"I don't want to be popular in this way. After noticing some comments online, I thought it would soon be quiet if I kept mum about it. I even told my friends not tell anyone else my personal information. However, it turns out that my silence brings more suspicion."
Wang wrote in blog that she is anticipating the hype to die down and waiting for her life to turn back to normal.
