George Town (Malaysia), Nov 26 (ANI): Some 100,000 shoppers are expected at the inaugural Penang International Indian Shopping Festival 2009.
A total of 65 booths selling apparel, jewellery, handicraft and other items have been set up in the foyer of the Penang Times Square for the festival, which ends on November 30.
Sales were brisk at the first Indian shopping festival outside the Klang Valley as shoppers looked for bargains and Indian items otherwise unobtainable here, The NST Online reports.
Organiser Jaggarao Simancha said products from 23 states in India and Pakistan are on sale along with items made in Malaysia. (ANI)
