Shimla, Nov 19: Coming to the rescue of his daughter Kangna Ranaut, the father of the Bollywood actress denied links between her and terror suspect David Coleman Headley.
"My daughter (Kangna) has no links with Lashkar aide David Headley. She never met nor spoke to Headley. We are really disturbed after such allegations were levelled against her," her father Amardeep Ranaut told a news agency reponding to the reports of possible links between Kangana and the LeT operative.
"We are consulting lawyers in this regard. We will take legal action against those who are spreading rumours (about her link with Headley)," he added.
Headley was recently arrested by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and was charged with the plotting terror strikes.
The terrorist's Bollywood links surfaced when Mahesh Butt's son, Rahul Bhatt admitted to knowing Headley.
"She has worked in some of Mahesh Bhatt's films, but she has never met Rahul," the father said answering a question on Kangna's acquaintance with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul.
Kanga is in Himachal Pradesh to mourn the death of her great grandfather.
"She will meet reporters at the appropriate time," Amardeep informed.
On Wednesday, Nov 18, there were reports that actor Emraan Hashmi was also named in the Headley probe.
