Spurs wooing Man U's Foster for six million quid!

By Super Admin

London, Nov.17 (ANI): Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) is eyeing struggling Manchester United (MU) star goalkeeper Ben Foster for a whopping six million pounds.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has made his intentions clear that he wants a new keeper after first choice Carlo Cudicini was seriously injured in a bike accident last week.

Foster, who fears that he may never see himself in England's World Cup squad next year, admitted to going through a rough patch.

Foster has dropped to third spot in the pecking order and knows that he will have to play regular first-team football in the Premier League in order to make for the World Cup squad.

"It's very disheartening not even being on the bench at United. I'm third choice for United yet playing for my country. It's a weird one and I'll see what happens," The Sun quoted Foster, as saying.

Cudicini is unlikely to play again this season after fracturing both wrists and his pelvis last Thursday.

Redknapp is looking to sign an established goalkeeper to put pressure on unpredictable Brazilian Heurelho Gomes as Hotspur bid to qualify for a Champions League place next season. (ANI)
