Landslide kills 23 in China
Zhongyang, Nov 17: At least 23 people have been killed in a massive landslide in Shanxi province of north China, rescuers said on Tuesday, Nov 17.
The landslide swept over five houses at about 10:40 am Monday, Nov 16, at a village in Zhangzishan Township of Zhongyang County.
The victims were migrant workers at a nearby coal mine and their families. They were all natives from southwestern Yunnan Province, rescuers said.
Rescuers had retrieved 12 bodies on Monday, Nov 16 and found another 11 bodies by early Tuesday, Nov 17.
