Zurich, Nov 16: FIFA's disciplinary body has dished out a two month ban to Argentina's coach Diego Maradona, punishing him for the tirade after this team grabbed a spot in the 2010 finals in South Africa.
Apart from the ban effective from Nov 15 to Jan 15, 2010, the body also slapped a fine of 25,000 Swiss francs ($24,600) on the football legend.
Argentina won the World Cup qualifier 1-0 against Uruguay on Oct 14, following which Maradona indulged in a foul-mouthed philippic inviting the wrath of FIFA.
