Mumbai, Nov 14: An article published in BJP house journal stated that BJP is stronger than Shiv Sena and the Sena is overestimating its strength in Maharashtra.
This statement in the article could be the last straw in the already deteriorating relation between the Sena and BJP.
According to the journal the assembly polls was not as bad for BJP as it was for the Sena and BJP had to compromise with Sena to keep the alliance intact.
"The poll results showed which party was stronger and it is clear that Sena's strength was less than what its leaders proclaimed," the article said in State BJP journal Manogat'.
The article also carried a comment on MNS stating that MNS was the reason behind BJP's loss in the assembly polls and the party could have done better.
Speaking on the article Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai said," "BJP has expressed its views. Sena chief Bal Thackeray has said that as there is a low tide, there will also be a high tide. Shiv Sena has seen a lot of such highs and lows. It will rise again like a Phoenix."
